Rcc culvert pipes with centrifugal forming process is made of plastic concrete. The culvert pipe wall is layered which effects loading capacity of concrete. Concrete stanard is C30, sometimes C40 but concrete strength of pipe end is lower than pipe wall so it’s not used for pipe jacking; when rcc pipe forming, concrete culvert pipe mold is placed on the centrifugal spinning machine and rotates with high speed with steel wire cage rotating also, there are generally two conditions which will effect the lifespan of rcc pipe:
1. Welding spot on the steel wire cage is not firm then there will be steel wire outside of concrete which will make no steel wire for partial area of rcc pipe.
2. Steel wire cage is not in the middle of concrete pipe wall after forming. The steel wire cage is eccentric namely the protection layer of steel wire cage is not even; this technology needs lots of rcc pipe molds to guarantee the productivity.
